Jesus was leaving the earth and leaving the building of the church to some fishermen and tax-collectors, there was no backup plan. Pastor Stuart takes us through the prayer that Jesus says for his disciples as he passes the baton to them to spread the gospel, a prayer for them that the father may give them the things they need to be successful.

John 16:1-15, The Winning Strategy

If you have ever played chess you will realise that often a good player will give up a key piece to gain an advantage, even when they look like they are losing they have a winning strategy which gets them checkmate in a few moves. Jesus shows his disciples that although others looked on His death as a loss, we see from this sermon that it was part of God’s Winning Strategy as the Work of the Holy Spirit is revealed.
